What people are saying

“Love love love the salon; the entire staff is so friendly. The vibes are immaculate. Preslie has done my hair twice now.. as someone who has been doing their own hair forever… I’m basically never happy with my hair after leaving a salon.. because “I could have messed my own hair up” 🤦‍♀️ IVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER since I started going to her, I definitely will continue. 10 out of 10.”

“Preslie gave me the best hair I’ve ever had!!! It’s more than I could have ever dreamed of!♥️”

“Preslie and Sarah absolutely killed it 10/10 on my cut and color and they were both absolute sweethearts. I took a plane 5 hrs to come here because they always do an amazing job!! Thank you for everything I will be back next year 💅🏻💕”

“I’ve been going to Preslie for my color and Brazilian blowouts, and Terra for my haircuts for 5+ years and my experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. The entire staff have always been extremely knowledgeable kind and considerate. The salon is clean and relaxing with a very cool vibe that everybody can feel comfortable in. Preslie has worked literal magic on my hair time and time again, and Terra has always done well cutting what needs to be cut to keep my hair healthy with keeping what I want at the forefront. I would recommend Tulu to anyone for any service.”

“I want to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. I brought my 12-year-old daughter to Tulu Salon for a full foil service after being quoted $300–$350. Midway through the appointment — more than three hours in, with most of her hair already foiled and processing — Jamie told me it would be “a little more work and cost more.” That wording did not suggest that the appointment would run more than two hours past the scheduled time or that the final amount would be nearly double the original quote. By that point, the service was too far along to stop. The appointment ultimately lasted over six hours. During this time, my daughter was handled roughly enough that she became visibly upset and began crying. I had to repeatedly remind Jamie that my daughter was in distress and needed gentler handling, yet the rough tugging of the foils continued. At checkout, I was charged $623.25, and I left a tip out of obligation — not yet understanding the full extent of the damage. After I left the salon, an additional $27 was added to the charge without my authorization, bringing the total to $675.25. I did not receive any explanation for the extra charge. Based on my experience, I do not feel these business practices are ethical or transparent. The next morning, after my daughter washed her hair at home, it was completely unmanageable, as can be seen in the attached photos. Her hair was extremely dry, tangled, frizzy, and difficult to comb, with visible breakage in several areas. The damage became apparent as soon as the salon’s heat styling wore off. We sought a second opinion that same day, and an independent licensed stylist confirmed that the hair showed signs of chemical over-processing. To begin attempting to repair the damage, I had to purchase specialized restorative products, which were not inexpensive. When I emailed Jamie to explain what had happened, her responses were dismissive and she denied any wrongdoing. She refused to offer a refund and only suggested additional chemical services, which were not appropriate given the condition of my daughter’s hair. This was an upsetting and costly experience for both my daughter and me. Based on what occurred, I cannot recommend this salon.”
