What people are saying
“I truly only leave bad reviews when I feel like it’s absolutely necessary and unfortunately, this is one of those times. I came today with 2 friends to get mani/pedis. The pedicure was fine (despite having chipped already), but the manicure was poorly done and left three of my fingers bleeding. The tech also filed so harshly and used his finger nail to go under my nail multiple times to get polish which did not feel sanitary. For $96 (before tip) I expected so much more. Like a review before me mentioned, my tech checked me out so I couldn’t even bring up these issues to management. My friend also got regular polish and hers were done terribly as well. There were layers upon layers of polish, the polish wouldn’t dry as a result (despite her sitting in the chair for 30+ mins with a fan to get them to try) and ended up getting messed up once the tech said they were dry and fine to leave. Very very disappointed.”
“I’m not one to leave negative reviews (especially for a local business) but I had a poor experience at this salon yesterday. I got a pedicure and manicure by the same technician, the pedicure went well. However, during the manicure the technician rather than clipping off dead skin and hangnails decided to grab and yank at the skin to pull it off which was extremely painful. I kept saying “ow”, pulling back, wincing but he didn’t seem to notice (or if he did, he didn’t care). The grand finale was him trimming the edge of my nail and instead of clipping it off he grabbed the nail and ripped it out of the nail bed. I gasped and teared up. At this point the finger is pouring blood and the technician does not acknowledge the blood, apologize, etc. I actually had to intervene and ask him not to pour alcohol, lotion, and oils all over the injured finger. It’s the next day and not only is the injured finger sore several of my other fingers are red, tender, swollen, and hot to the touch. I’m very concerned about having multiple infected fingers after this. I’ve had many manicures and usually feel no pain outside of mild discomfort when the cuticles are being pushed back. The technician followed me to check out and watched the keypad while I paid to see how much I would tip him which made me uncomfortable. If he had not been standing there I probably would have mentioned what happened to the manager at the front. My finger was still pouring blood walking to the parking lot and on the drive home. It hurts to wash my hair because of how tender my fingers are. I will not be returning.”
“I went in on Thursday after being recommended this place by some friends as I am not one to get my nails done on a regular basis and WENDY did such an amazing job. I showed her the one inspo picture I had and she replicated it to the tee honestly even better. She spent so much time and dedication. Everyone on staff was so sweet and kind as well. 100% recommend and if you can get the wonderful WENDY to do your nails !”
“I had a great experience at Gervais Nail & Spa. The salon was very clean, and the staff was welcoming from the moment I walked in. My technician took his time with my pedicure and checked in with me throughout the service to make sure I was comfortable and happy with the result. I really appreciated the attention to detail and level of care. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and professional experience.”
