“Loved the service. Everything took around an hour, even though they took their time. I didn’t feel rushed. They took care of the details. I want the basic cleanup for my nails and a basic pedicure with a nude color. I was in a rush, so Rosa, who did my pedicure asked another girl Jessica if she could do my nails while my pedicure was being done. They were clean and efficient and good pricing. Also, the environment is calm and they worked with you and were professional and kind. I had a slight reaction from the wax on my skin, but I think it’s because your skin is literally being pulled lol If your skin is super sensitive, maybe do threading instead, but I like doing waxing. I don’t think this salon offers threading, but the other services are great if you want to get a mani/pedi and a good service. Last thing, the place did not smell like chemicals as much as some other salons do which was wonderful for my breathing. Rosa - pedicure Jessica - manicure Miriam - eyebrows”
“This is the second I’ve come and had to wait longer than I was told and had people who came in after me get seated before me. Also, I have eczema on my hand and one of the ladies that sit closer to the front decided to try to file the bumpiness down to the point where it is pain and I can’t remove the polish of this finger without it burning. The pricing was a major factor in me returning but at this point I would rather pay more and not deal with this establishment again. This will be my last time coming here.”
“I came in with my friend for just a refill for the first time. She filed my natural nails crooked and was rude the entire time, I’ve been getting my nails done for over a year and a half and not once did the UV light hurt my nails but I told her that my hands were burning and she said there was nothing they could do and I had to deal with it, I’m writing this review about a week and a half later and my nails are chipping and they’re constantly getting caught in my hair near the cuticle. I have never had this happen before. They aren’t even that inexpensive of a salon and they’re over charging for poor quality nails.”
“I’ve been a loyal customer of First Class Nails for four years and have always appreciated their Seton Hall student discount. Since January, I’ve been getting hard gel manicures only at this salon. However, a decline in care of nail prep has become evident, leading to my nail infection. With my last set, my right pointer nail broke without any rough treatment on my part, but I initially blamed myself. This time, my left pointer nail lifted all the way off on its own, revealing an infection underneath. Neither set lasted beyond two weeks. Today, I arrived at the salon at 6 pm and showed the technician the infection, asking if they could just soak off my nails. She said they didn’t have time. Considering the potential health risk of a fungal or bacterial infection, possibly below the polish of other nails as well, I expected a more professional response. No one expressed concern, asked about a follow-up appointment, or apologized. When I suggested coming back to soak it off the next morning, the technician ignored it. Instead, she asked if I wanted a fill, despite me calmly explaining the infection risk. I’ve also noticed that in my last few pedicures, massages have been skipped altogether. Overall, there’s been a clear decline in the care given to clients, with an emphasis on rushing to the next customer. I hope others have a better experience.”
“The owner and staff are very sweet and kind. I took my daughter for the first time to get a kiddie manicure and myself a fill in. She absolutely loves her nails 💅🏽 This will be our top nail spot from now on.”
